From The Valley to The Summit ^
At Mile High WorkShop, we call our participants Mountaineers—because every step forward is part of a climb that leads to lasting change.
From the Valley…
Rebuilding a life after incarceration, addiction, or housing instability is rarely a straight path. At Mile High WorkShop, we meet people where they are and provide the guidance, support, and opportunities they need to take the next step. Every day, our Mountaineers are working on themselves, building skills, earning income, and finding a place where they are known and valued. The reality is that the need is great—but with the right support, meaningful change is possible
One in three adults has a criminal record. That doesn’t define them—but it can make finding work and stability feel impossible. At the WorkShop, we give Mountaineers a real chance to move forward.

Just 30 days of steady work can cut the chance of reoffending by more than half. Earning income while building skills isn’t just a paycheck—it’s a step toward a new identity.
Most people who end up back in the system are unemployed. Having a safe place to work, learn, and be known can change the trajectory.

Programs like the WorkShop, that provide temporary, wage-paid employment alongside supportive services gives individuals a way to earn an income immediately while they develop the skills needed to transition to secure stable housing and stepping stone to better jobs.
Transitional Employment
Strides in addiction recovery are made easier when life has purpose. A job at the WorkShop helps people rediscover who they are, provides valuable structure, builds community, and Mountaineers access weekly recovery groups and support network.
