We are a job-readiness & self-sufficiency program teaching on-the job manufacturing and production skills in sewing, assembly/fulfillment and light manufacturing. The WorkShop offers transitional employment opportunities for people in our community experiencing barriers to employment due to criminal backgrounds, incarceration and/or recovery from homelessness and addictions.

WHAT WE OFFER

We offer a paid job with real work experience, skills training in production and manufacturing, and one-on-one meetings with a support counselor. You also access support groups, community activities, life skills trainings, addiction recovery groups and referrals to resources. We also offer transitional support relating to your next job.

basic requirements

You must be:

  • Over 18 Years of Age

  • Able to make an 8-week, 24 hour/week commitment

This opportunity is designed to be a transitional learning experience and the program is designed to last 8-12 weeks. We also offer supportive services, and require participants to work on personal and professional development while they’re in the program. This includes meeting with our job coach regularly, participating in a job training classes, and working with counselors and recovery coaches (this is all paid time).
