Kitting

We have lots of experience repackaging products, putting finished products into packaging and building new arrangements of existing products. Even if you don’t need production support, we can probably be helpful!

Banner Upcycling

The Mile High WorkShop's banner repurposing department works to both keep old marketing banners out of the landfill and create job-training opportunities in one innovative process. Retired billboards, banners and other marketing products make durable and unique items that last a long time and help create a more sustainable product lifecycle.

Assembly

Have a product that needs to be assembled? We can help! Whether the project requires tools or simply a set of hands, we can assemble some or all of your product. A few examples of existing projects are gluing up ski blocks for Meier Skis, pouring candles for Pearl Street Lights and sewing banner bags for VISIT Denver.

case study: kong

KONG has been manufacturing rubber dog toys in Golden, Colorado for many decades. As production and distribution have grown, the company has engaged in a variety of community-impacting partnerships including a production relationship with the WorkShop launched in Spring 2019.

The WorkShop receives thousands of KONG toys at a time and quality checks each one before packaging and palletizing the finished products. The WorkShop supports the production of around 30,000 packaged and shipped KONG toys each month!

This relationship has given KONG a new way to engage with the community while expanding their production capacity and it’s allowed the WorkShop to create many ongoing work-training opportunities.

case study: adobe

Adobe is a global leader in the software industry and frequently hosts conventions to gather their customers. The company is based in San Francisco and, in many ways, committed to sustainability and practices that are supportive of the earth and communities they work in. So it made sense when they contacted the WorkShop in 2019 to find a solution for all the marketing materials that were manufactured for each conference.

Rather than send banners from the event to the landfill, Adobe contracted the WorkShop to upcycle 28,000 square feet of material into 2,300 totes. Each tote was unique and amazing and the job provided very valuable training opportunities for participants in the WorkShop job-training program.
